The examples were made with various worsted weight (8 or 10 ply) wool yarns & US size 3/3.25mm needles, but almost any yarn could be used with the corresponding needle size. He measures approximately 6 inches across the tentacles & 4 inches tall (getting exact measurements on an irrationally stubborn cephalopod with appendage dexterity beyond all reason is pretty much impossible). But of course size will change depending on choice of yarn & needle.
The body is worked in one piece in the round, the eyeballs are either knit on picked up stitches or knit separately & sewn on, & the tentacles are worked I-cord style.
