Nîle

Nîle is worked seamlessly from the top down. The back part of the collar is worked first from a cast on at the center of the back. Stitches are then picked up from the long edge of the collar for fronts, sleeve caps, and back. A wide pattern panel, framed by 1x1 Rib and Stockinette stitch is running down the back. Raglan increases are used to shape the yoke. Once sleeve stitches are placed on hold the body is worked back and forth to the hem. Sleeve stitches are then picked up to work the sleeves top down in rounds to the cuffs last.

Note: This yarn is no typical sport weight yarn! If substituting yarn, please choose a yarn that gives you the correct gauge and a fabric that is not too loose. Testers used (amongst others): Malabrigo Rios, The Fibre CO Arranmore Light…and got beautiful results.

Sample is worn with 3.25” (8 cm) positive ease at bust.
