This is a pattern with full written instructions and crochet charting as well. If you can follow crochet charts but not English language, you should be able to finish the pattern.
Starting at the top edge of the hearts, working in rounds, charming little hearts all in a row are formed in the first round. The next two rounds frame it into a lovely openwork bookmark.
This is about a 60-minute project.
The length can easily be adjusted by the number of hearts made during the first round.
Embellishments personalizing the gift are easily added. Use your creativity with ribbons, glitter, beads, or buttons.
