Hey! Don’t be blinded by that wonderful rainbow colorway, the Mortimer is a super easy sock pattern to follow!
Patterns like this one are particularly great for when you’ve been hoarding a stash of wonderful yarns and you’re just craving a knitting session. Surely, I can’t be the only one?
Whether you’ve got speckled, striped, or variegated yarns sat in storage, you can knit away and give yourself a few new pairs of socks to keep those tootsies warm and cozy!
Worked in the round, Mortimer contains both cuff-down and toe-up written directions and a chart for the pattern stitch. The pattern has instructions for an afterthought heel, but you may substitute whatever heel you enjoy using.
The pattern is written for the magic loop method for knitting socks; however, the design could be worked on double-pointed needles or mini-circulars instead should you prefer.
