Marusya Kerchief

Perfect for a change of seasons, warm and light at the same time... Here is a beautiful kerchief design that is very easy to make. It's based on granny square pattern, which most crocheters have mastered even as beginners. The triangular shape is very accommodating: use it as a head kerchief or a scarf, or increase the amount of rows to turn it into a shawlette or even a full size shawl. It will look great in either way! Make a pretty flower to adorn this kerchief or leave it plain if you like.

Skill level: beginner to intermediate Finished dimensions: one size fits most. Width with ties about 43 inches, top to bottom about 11 inches. Flower is about 4 inches in diameter. Yarn: worsted weight yarn in three colors (A, B and C) - about 0.8 oz each. A bit extra for the flower and ties. Hook: size 8 or H (5mm) or size to obtain gauge. Other materials: tapestry needle Gauge: 3 rows in pattern make a triangle, where the base side measures 5.5 inches.
