This pattern is best worked on a 32" circular needle.
To work the CO for the edging, the stitches should be cast on (without breaking the yarn) at the completion of the body of the shawl. You then work back along the CO sts and join those sts to the live sts on the cable of the needle. The edging is simply a continuation of the shawl.
