Now we all can become lion tamers. With this easy pattern you can make Lopi, a beautiful realistic looking lion.
Size: 6 inch/ 15 cm sitting when made with Istex Lett Lopi and hook E / 3,5 mm.
The instructions are written in US crochet terms. The pattern contains a list of materials, tools and accessories needed. Brand and colour numbers of the needed yarn. A clear and colour coded description of how to crochet and assemble the animal. Pictures and illustrations to help getting everything right.
Materials: For this lion you need worsted weight yarn and an E US/3.5 mm crochet hook. You need three colours of yarn, camel (1/3 of 100 yard skein), brown (1/3) and white (1/10). For the eyes I’ve used 8 mm animal eyes, and I needle felted a nose (a bit wider than the eyes), but any other kind works too. You will also need fibrefill, pellets for a bit of extra weight in the body (I use Hama beads) and a pipe cleaner for the tail is optional. Lopi colour numbers: 1400, 0053 and 0051.
