This hat has a lot of stretch in the brim band. Relaxed it measures 13 inches and fully stretched 16 inches, will fit newborn to 12 months. This hat could be made in a solid color and would only require 1 ball. As shown 2 balls are needed, one of each color. Vickie Howell's Love is gorgeous, a bamboo/ silk blend, just lovely for a baby head. An alternative is suggested, but remember always check your gauge.
