Leyre is a downloadable knitting pattern for mittens designed by independent designer Melody Hoffmann. The pattern offers three finished sizes: Toddler (for ages 2/4 years old), Woman Small, and Woman Medium, with circumferences ranging from 4.3 inches to 6.6 inches when blocked. These are classic hand-covering mittens suitable for various age groups and hand sizes.

Craft and Primary Technique

This is a knitting project worked in the round, which creates seamless mittens without the need for seaming. For those without a full skein, 70 grams is sufficient for the larger sizes. Fingering weight yarn is a thin, delicate yarn that knits to a fine gauge, creating detailed stitch definition and a refined fabric suitable for fitted mittens.

Needles: The pattern requires US 1.5 (2.5mm) needles. For the Small and Medium sizes, 9-inch circular needles or magic loop with double-pointed needles are recommended.
