Lakeland was originally published in Issue 4 of Laine Magazine. Inspired by icy winter temperatures and salty ocean gales, Lakeland blends together elements of Fiona’s native country Canada and her new home, Finland. Fiona grew up on a street named Lakeland and felt it was a fitting name for this new design since Finland’s endearing nickname is ‘land of a thousand lakes’. The texture of the diagonal lines mimics waves washing over a beach.
