This is a mandala vest that has been adapted from a vintage doily pattern. The pattern will fit a chest of about 56cm: if you want a larger size, increase the size of your hook.

This project is crocheted in the round and doesn't have any seams. The self-striping yarn is an easy way to get a multicoloured result that is so pretty for little girls. This size will fit a 4-5 year old girl.

You will need a large button or toggle to fasten it (I made my own matching button from polymer clay), but it doesn't HAVE to have a button :-). You could sew ribbons on for fastening or crochet ties instead.
