No need for a chart,just two alternating rows form the pattern. An I-cord is knit to make the ties but you could use a ribbon or crochet tie instead. You need 25 g fingering weight baby wool or sock yarn and knitting needles in 3 mm or US 3 as well as 2.5 mm or US 2.
