Knit a whole pile of cuddly hedgehogs in soft colours with this free knitting pattern.
Suitable for knitters with some experience, these hedgehogs are worked flat on 4mm knitting needles and use increasing and decreasing stitches to shape. With the spikes worked in Trinity Stitch, the pattern takes you step-by-step through this fun knitting project to learn this method of creating textured knitting.
To knit your hedgehogs you will need: A pair of 4mm straight knitting needles, some chunky yarn (we used a ball of Stylecraft Special Chunky in Camel (1420) and Rico Essentials Mega Wool Chunky in Orange (005) but of course you can use any colours you like. You can make several hedgehogs from the yarn balls suggested) You'll also need a darning needle, toy stuffing and a pair of 6mm black toy safety eyes. Finished hedgehog measures a pocket-sized 16cm long and 8cm tall.
