Harvest Fruit & Veg Blanket

This pattern in overlay mosaic crochet is for a rainbow of fruit and vegetables. There are ten different fruit & veg patterns which all repeat every 21 or 14 stitches. All include a chart (with drop-down stitches marked) and row-by-row written instructions.

This pattern has two versions - one with slightly more complex ‘special’ mosaic crochet stitches which create a more realistic look with curved edges. And another made in the classic mosaic crochet style with just single and double crochet stitches. The designs included are for: carrots, apples, beetroot, grapes, pears, sweetcorn, strawberries, oranges, lemon/ lime and pumpkin. The pattern includes charts, written instructions, photos; and a video tutorial for special stitches.

I give basic guidance for making a baby blanket, but the repeated mosaic patterns could be used for a larger blanket for a keen gardener, a cushion, table runner or wall hanging, or small projects like mug rugs and pencil cases amongst many other possibilities.
