In these beautiful socks you can wear the forest on your feet as large leaves entwine on the surface from the cuff to the toe on a reverse stockinette stitch background.
Knit from the cuff down, the socks have a traditional construction with a heel flap and gusset, but this time the heel-flap is worked in an interesting triangle pattern created with knit and purl stitches. The triangles are repeated on a small band just after the cuff and just before the toe decreases.
You will need 320-366m / 350-400y of fingering weight yarn. The sample is size S and was knit using The Wool Barn Twist Sock in Potion. An alternative yarn is suggested below.
