It is a sister shawl to [Double Bubble Shawl][1] (which is named after double yarnovers).
The body pattern is a repeat of three basic lace stitches in different configurations, easy to follow and easy to remember. The border is very simple as well and can be continued until you run out of yarn. The shawl is crescent shaped, started in the middle. The volume is built up by increasing at the inner edge.
Sizing is adaptable, you choose how big the shawl is going to be by adding more repeats of both the body section and the border in any proportions you wish. You can also work an optional stockinette section to start with.
Any yarn from lace to DK weight will look good on the shawl. Consequently, needles should be adapted to the yarn used and the degree of lacy effect that you desire to achieve.
Pictured shawl was knitted with two skeins of Wendy Supreme Luxury Cotton DK on US 4 – 3.5 mm needles (200g = 436 yards/400m).
