This scarf features a variation of the same eye-catching, travelling rib motif that I originally developed for my previous designs, the Coral Reef Wrap and Coral Reef Socks.
Just like its big sister, the wrap, this scarf features a stitch pattern that looks wonderful on both sides. So, there is no real “wrong side” and it can be worn with either side showing.
The mesmerizing branch motifs do not require working cables but are achieved with simple increases/decreases.
It’s a shallow triangular construction that is worked sideways from tip to tip. The elongated, rounded triangular shape makes this scarf enjoyable to knit and easy to wear.
The pattern is adjustable to the yardage you have available or if you prefer to make a smaller/larger shawl.
Fully written row-by-row as well as charted instructions are provided.
YARN used for sample: Cardiff Cashmere Classic (DK weight, 100% Natural Cashmere, 25 g = 112 m / 120 yds), 3.7 balls.
