A wonderful arrangement of cables decorates this beautiful hat. The cables grow seamlessly out of the folded ribbed brim and due to its unique construction, this hat displays them beautifully.
I have designed a matching shawl pattern previously, which I’m also wearing in the photos in this pattern, the Cloudberry Wrap.
The hat is worked bottom up (from brim to crown) in the round. The pattern contains fully written as well as charted instructions so you can choose which you prefer to work from.

To fit a 53 (59) cm / 20.75 (23.25)“ head circumference with about 5 cm / 2” of negative ease.
YARN
Designed for DK weight yarn.
Yarn used for sample: Lang Yarns Merino 120 Superwash (DK weight, 100% Superwash Merino Extrafine, 50 g = 120 m / 131 yd), in colourway Olive (34.0098).
Size 1 requires approx. 92 g = 221 m / 241 yd (sample).
Size 2 requires approx. 111 g = 266
Needles:
3.5 and 4.0 mm / US 4 and US 6 needles for knitting in the round.
