Christmas Pudding Coaster Set

Impress your guests this Christmas with this fun Christmas Pudding set, 6 coasters in a cute coaster holder.

This pattern is written using US terms and includes a chart to convert into UK terms. I have used photographs to help with instructions throughout the pattern and included a printer friendly version.

I have used 2 strands of DK yarn worked together for the inner pudding to give a mottled effect representing the mix of fruits inside the pudding, and used UK Chunky (Bulky) yarn for the rest of the pattern with a 4.5mm hook. This gives an approximate diameter of 10cm for the coasters, which is suitable for most cups and mugs. The smaller hook than standard for this size yarn creates a tighter stitch to help prevent fluids going through the coasters.

You will need:

Less than 50g of each colour is used -

Chunky (Bulky) yarn in Dark Brown, White, Green and Red

Optional- Grey for a lucky silver coin

DK yarn in 2 tones of Brown

4.5mm Crochet Hook

Yarn needle
