Who wouldn't sometimes dream of Caribbean islands when it is dark and cold outside? Living in a place without a single sea in sight, this is how I imagine tropical colors.
Made out of an aran weight cotton yarn, this bag knits up quickly. It is worked from the bottom to the top in a mosaic pattern that returns on the handle. Another detail that adds interest is the picot edge on top. The bag is worked in the round in one piece. You then knit the handle and sew it to the top.
Difficulty level: intermediate (knitting in the round on circular needles, picking up stitches, slipped stitches)
Yarn: Anchor Style Magicline (100% cotton, 69m/50g; 76yds/1.76oz), 2 balls in main color, 1 ball in contrast color. Sample used 139m (152yds) of main color and 69m (76yds) of contrast color.
