Bordeaux Shrug was inspired by a summer holiday boat trip on the Dordoigne, watching the light play on the rippled water and the waves lapping the bank. The lacy stitches echo this, and it has a wavy lacy border.
It is knitted in one piece, then the Brioche stitch ribbed cuffs added, then "folded" and sewn to create the batwing shape.
Knitted in a cotton/bamboo blend it has lovely drape and is perfect for spring and summer.
It measures approximately 41"/106cm along the seam across the shoulders, the cuffs can be adjusted to whatever length suits you. Tension is 9 lacy pattern repeats = 10cm/4” across, and 8 pattern repeats = 10cm/4” of rows
