Inspired by a child’s love of all things from spooky to pretty, these socks are offered in two colourways to reflect their opposite moods. There are no particular technical difficulties beyond a grasp of Fair Isle.
The Design Line yarns by Kaffe Fassett used here are now discontinued, but pictures of the original yarns used are given to help your yarn store advise an alternative. The ones shown are simply a suggestion and have not been checked by swatching, but aim for a self-striping yarn which will allow the main shade, which is a solid navy for Blackbirds and an unbleached linen shade for Doves, to show up against it. Also, just check it doesn’t clash with the 2nd solid contrast.
