Aran Diamond Teacosy

Featuring a seed stitch/moss stitch edging, and a central Aran diamond, this teacosy is knit in two pieces and seamed together at top and bottom, leaving a gap for spout and handle. It is sized to fit a standard teapot of 20 inches (51cm) in circumference; the cosy measures 6 inches (15cm) in height. The top of the teapot is left uncovered in this design, so you don't have to remove the cosy each time you wish to make tea.

Any Aran yarn should be suitable for this pattern, 5 mm needles/US8 are recommended, but there is some leeway given that Aran yarns can vary a little in thickness. I would suggest being guided by the needle size recommended for the Aran yarn you are using.
