Yarn: Katia Gatsby, Capri or Bolero (sport/dk weight yarn, cotton and polyester, approx. 137 yards per 50 gram skein) in different shades. For a 3 colour cowl use 3 skeins as follows: 115 meters / 126 yards for main colour - lace (MC). 65 m / 71 y for each contrasting colour (CC1, CC2).
Needles 4 mm [US 6] straight (or circular) needles. Hook larger than the needles for provisional cast on.

Gauge Take measurements after blocking, slightly stretched. Colour version: 28 sts in 12 cm (2 pattern repeats) by 26 rows in 10 cm / 4" in pattern. Lace version: 28 sts in 13 cm (2 pattern repeats) by 40 rows in 16 cm / 6.3" in pattern.
