Alisha Baby Girls Matinee Set
Such a lovely outfit to knit for the new arrival and what a special set to welcome home a new baby girl and for those precious first photographs.
The pattern includes instructions to knit the matinee coat, frilly knickers, bonnet and booties.
Shown here knitted in King Cole Comfort DK, you will also require eyelet lace, shirring elastic, ribbon and rosebuds. Any standard DK yarn can be used as a substitute. I have also successfully knitted the set using Paintbox Yarns Baby DK, Sirdar Snuggly DK and Stylecraft Special for Babies DK & Jenny Watson Baby DK
The completed outfit is sized to fit a newborn baby and has a finished chest size of 16in. Also suitable for a life-size reborn doll 19-22"
The outfit is knitted flat on straight needles and the jacket is knitted in one piece from the bottom up until you reach the armholes where the back and two fronts are then knitted seperately.
