What a great vest to wear over a shirt! Using strands taken from the self-patterning yarn, the squares of colour on the back echo the stripes on the front to great effect. Because it's sleeveless, it's really built for action!
Yarn Any self-patterning sock yarn paired with a solid 4-ply or fingering yarn will work provided you get gauge.
Gauge 30 st and 42 rows to 4” (10cm) over stocking stitch using larger needles. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Skills Required Basic knitting skills, increases/decreases, short rows, three-needle bind off, simple intarsia, knit-on edging, knowledge of basic sweater construction, picking up stitches, seaming, sewing on buttons.
