My grandmother first taught me to knit, she seemed very fierce to a small child and was determined that I learn to do it her way. However, this stood me in good stead and introduced me to a craft I have enjoyed for many years. I stopped knitting for about ten years following a family break up, but have recently started again, and learnt new skills. I am particularly enjoying putting my own stamp on patterns by using different colours and embellishments.
