Like many I'm sure, I enjoy finding a use for leftover wool, and I had quite a few oddments of Paintbox sock wool from the three pairs I've knitted. I dug out my crochet folksy bird pattern, which I'd previously knitted in brightly coloured Paintbox cotton DK (I have posted a separate project posted on this), used a much smaller hook (2.5) and gave it a go. I decided to fill these birds with lavender, and will post a couple of them to my sister, to match the socks I knitted for her - win, win!
