I was interested in the pattern so made it on a long Moho trip. I’m now donating it to a Sunderland charity called 4Louis which provides memory boxes. I’ve knitted hearts for them but never did I think my son and his wife would receive one. The motifs are rose lace in the centre, then a butterfly motif and a heart motif around the edge.

What a stunning shawl. So sad to hear of your families loss.
It is absolutely beautiful. So sorry to hear your son and his wife have received a box. These boxes make a huge difference to the parents, I used to get so upset knitting the bits to put in the boxes but was explained how much they helped so I still do bits between other knitting.
