I think of this as the "Snowing all night, snowing all day" hat with its dark and light versions. It was knitted during the most extreme Christmas week weather in my memory with blowing drifting snow over much of the country and frigid temperatures. I finished it on Christmas Eve. Disappearing loop cast on. Magic loop throughout.

Ooh, this one is gorgeous Christine, love the colours and pattern. You and Gillian P have got me going, about to start one myself for my partner George. Still dithering on how I'm going to work my colours. Hope you're surviving the extreme weather OK. All the best for a Happy New Year when it comes.
Hiw cool is this hat, I've never heard of a Musselburgh hat - only the place (in Scotland). I didn't know what it was until I swiped all the pics, very clever. You certainly are getting horrific weather, hope it doesn't impact on you too much. Merry Christmas 🎅
I would love to try a Musselburgh! They do look comfy? I love your fairisle work on them! Never heard of disappearing loop cast on??
You are the Musselburgh champion Christine. So beautifully knitted 🤩. Have a wonderful Xmas.
