I would have finished earlier but I took a break for about a month to make a gift for someone else and due to work commitments. I really enjoyed the whole project - some new techniques for me. The waves were fun, I want to make some of the designer's other patterns with the waves (I've already bought some beautiful yarn for the peacock feather shawl). Icord was also new to me and I love the finish it gives. It turned out huge, which I think was a combination of my yarn choice and overestimating the size I needed! I used 4ply cotton but with bigger needles than recommended, so that I could get gauge, which I thought would make it nice and drapey like the linen in the design. It is drapey but a little on the saggy side! Feels lovely and comfy though. I would love to try linen but it was so expensive and I'm still a bit of a noob ... didn't want to spend that much in case it didn't work out! I have a lot to learn about fit, but overall I'm pretty happy with it!
