Last winter cardie for Louis

Think this will be the last Winter cardi for Louis. Two sizes larger than his previous one. Decided to go for the 6 to 12 months as he has just reached 6 months in age. Double knit yarn, so cardie on generous side. Hopefully will see him though the to warmer weather. Then I will really have to stop until next year This pattern is so easy and always turns out great. Garter stitch so easy to work with when picking up stitches for sleeves and for sewing up with mattress stitch. Left stitches for front and back on spare needles and did three needle cast off for shoulders. Leaving centre stitches for the border. Worked edging boarder, optional in plain cardie, but i think just finishes it off really well.

Another lovely little cardigan Jean. 😊 I’ve stopped making knits for my grandsons in Sydney now as they rarely wear more than a T-shirt 🤷♀️
