I’m making walking socks for all my family for Christmas as they are very into their country walks. These are the first finished pair, although I have several other unfinished pairs on the go. The problem is that I want them to be a surprise, so I’m having to find out their shoe sizes by subterfuge. And in the case of the two smallest grands, I’m leaving completion until much nearer Christmas as their feet will probably grow in the meantime. I thought I’d finishe this pair some time ago, but then realised I had done the toe on one of them the wrong way!
