I wanted a little cardy for the baby when we leave hospital to keep her warm and cosy on the journey home. I spotted a modified version by a fellow knitter and used the same wool colour and idea to make the bumble bees to imitate a hive but modified the arm pattern to be just stockinette. The bee pattern was found here on lovecrafts by a knitter called kit. I knitted the larger bee body with individual wings.

I love this cardigan, it is beautifully knitted and so sweet. I also made this pattern up in speckled wool and I am pleased with the result.
