I'd knitted newborn size for my friend's baby, but he was over 9 lbs when he was born, so everything was too small! I made this sweater in size 6 - 12 months, so hopefully will fit him:). I find that I need more yarn than specified in the pattern, probably because I use the baby bamboo which is heavier than the standard snuggly.
