I seem to be making a lot of hats lately. This is a terrific pattern. The snowflake motif is perfect for this hat because it is only 13 rows and fits perfectly just before beginning the decreases for the crown. Also, the colorwork makes the upper part of the hat almost as warm as the double thickness squishy earflap brim. Used fingering yarn held double = worsted and knit exactly to gauge.
