#playnotwork – At LoveCrafts, we’re constantly looking for ways to make sure we preserve and grow our smart and kind culture. We do this through regularly asking for feedback from our team and also through our culture committee, a group who meet once a month and talk about cool ways we can bring our #playnotwork philosophy come to life – whether it be through events, training, recognition or benefits – we want to make sure we’re always listening when it comes to work culture and environment.
Making on Day One – we’re all makers and everyone who starts with us gets a crafty starter pack so that they can learn some new skills and (most of the time!) end up producing something they can wear or use.
We celebrate – whether it’s birthdays, product launches, or just a Friday! We’ve always got beers in the fridge and snacks in the cupboard to celebrate and there’s usually a cake lurking about somewhere too. We don’t restrict celebrating to the office, and to make sure you get to celebrate one of the most important days in the calendar with your nearest and dearest, we give everyone the day off on their birthday.
Cake days and Jigsaws – these are institutions at LoveCrafts and we make sure we’re never short of a cake or a biscuit on Thursdays. We offset our cake guilt by working our biggest muscle (the brain!) with fiendishly tough jigsaws, there’s always one on the go so if you like a grey matter challenge with your vanilla sponge and Earl Grey, you’ll be very at home here.
Central London location – we’re 20 steps from the Tottenham Court Rd tube, yes, we counted them…. so the bright lights of the capital are literally just outside the office window. As well as the location, you’ll also love our offices for the comfy chairs, beautiful roof terrace, indoor cycle parking and super convenient shower facilities.
Office Spotify – not only do we have an office Spotify account, it can also be controlled from anywhere in the world thanks to the Slack integration. Our current favourite playlist is “Hits from the 90s”, especially on a Friday!
Private Medical Insurance – we enroll all staff on our company private medical insurance scheme with BUPA, as well as an additional cash plan for health claims.
Pension – we offer a company pension scheme with Scottish Widows whereby we will match your contribution up to 3% of salary.

Running club – if running, or jogging, or quick walking, sounds like your idea of fun, we have a running club that caters to all levels of fitness. They meet once a week , so if it’s a 2km stroll or a 10km power run, you’ll find someone who is happy to run alongside you.
Discounted gym membership – with the YMCA a stones throw around the corner, we have an agreed corporate rate for membership so that you can enjoy your exercise without worrying about the cost.
Work-life balance important to us at LoveCrafts. We have a wonderfully diverse workforce, many of whom are parents juggling work and family life. Supporting a work life balance is central to who we are as an organisation and we are constantly challenging ourselves to provide an environment that creates flexibility for people.
Enhanced leave – as well as your birthday off, we also significantly enhance the statutory holiday allowance by giving everyone 25 days holiday, in addition to UK public holidays. Giving you more time to spend resting, recharging, and getting ready to come back to work full of energy and great ideas.

Buddy and mentor systems – everyone who starts with us is assigned a buddy or a mentor. Buddies will help you settle in and learn the ropes, introducing you to peers across LoveCrafts and helping you connect with others so that there’s always a ‘go-to’ person for you in each team. We also advocate and facilitate mentoring so that there’s a colleague on hand to give you advice on growing your skills and managing your career.
Planning and TED talks – We encourage continuous professional development and internally run regular business progress stand ups. We’re public with our planning and we run our own “TED talks” on topics ranging from an overview of ‘what exactly to the tech team do…?’ to building your own smart home.
